Can I sew velcro onto an Under Armour shirt without damaging the material?
I’m going to be attaching 30 1-inch squares of velcro to a white undershirt to attach LED’s to. I’ve done this with cotton, but I want a more form-fitting and comfortable undergarment such as the ones made by Under Armour. I’m not worried about it continuing to stretch because the squares are so small and approximately 6-8 inches from each other, but I want to be sure I won’t be tearing/ruining the fabric itself.

If u hand sew the velcro on the shirt, it shouldn’t be a problem. That way u can remove them when ur done with the outfit (im thinking halloween) There are some velcro that has a sticky back to it, but even with that i would be hand sewing them in place. When ur done just clip the threads and its should be find. Don’t use a huge needle that will break the threads, the smaller the better and its not gonna be easy to do by hand, but it can be done. They also make the velcro in colors 2, so u can use one that will match or not be seen as much.
